OUR STORY
Where two rivers meet,
something new begins.
I started Journey of a River Studio with a simple belief that the best things happen at the meeting point. I travelled across India, learning from craftspeople, collaborating with makers, watching what happens when two different worlds find each other and merge. Like two rivers becoming one.
Over time, I wanted to bring something back. Not just for the brands I worked with, but something of my own made from my country, carried by its craft, but made to resonate with anyone who holds it. So I started turning my own photographs into prints. The pictures I took on my travels. The moments I almost missed. The street corners and doorways and quiet things that stay with you long after you've left.
“I believe every image says something different to everyone who sees it. It merges with whatever you bring to it like memory, like a river, like something that was always yours.”
That's how the art of noticing & Archive of Memories was born. Each pattern begins as a photograph mine and becomes a hand block print, carved into wood and pressed onto handwoven linen by master artisan Mohammad Javed in Jaipur, India. Designed in the USA. Made with the hands of India. Something from my home, to yours.
It has been one year. We are just beginning.
With love and intention,
